Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is seeking a Dispensary Clerk to work in the Office of Clinical Affairs.  The Dispensary Clerk will dispense equipment, instruments, and materials used in the Implant Center and will maintain an adequate inventory to meet the needs of the clinic.  The Dispensary Clerk will also perform clerical and miscellaneous tasks for Clinical Affairs.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for greeting visitors, patients ,students, and faculty in the dental Implant Center.
  • Schedules implant screenings for patients and maintains appointments in accordance with the departmental procedures. 
  • Answers phones and screens calls in a professional manner. 
  • Acts as a receptionist for the clinic telephone and takes messages as needed. 
  • Dispenses implants and restorative components using implant tracking system.
  • Issues equipment, instruments, and supplies daily to students, residents, and/or faculty.
  • Maintains an inventory of loaned equipment.
  • Ensures a neat, clean, sanitary, and efficient dispensary and storage area. 
  • Ensures dispensary meets all OSHA regulations. 
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • One (1) year of experience working in a dental setting.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to understand the daily operations of a dental setting sufficiently to carry out the duties of this position. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual skills ( English/Spanish or English/ Portuguese).
