Post-doctoral Research Opportunity

We invite applications for a post-doctoral researcher to join the Coastal Hazards, Equity, Economic prosperity, and Resilience (CHEER) Hub (www.drc.udel.edu/cheer/ ). This interdisciplinary, multi-university, multi-year project is funded by the National Science Foundation (award abstract ). The successful applicant will lead development of a computational framework to help design policies that can achieve sustainable equity, economic prosperity, and coastal resilience in the context of climate change. The framework both serves as the main vehicle for integrating the diverse disciplinary contributions and ultimately will form the basis of a policy analysis tool.

The candidate should have a strong background in mathematical modeling, including optimization and simulation. Interest and background related to hurricanes is a plus. In addition, strong oral and written English communication skills and an ability to work independently are desirable.
