Our mission is to develop leaders in pharmacy education, pharmacy practice and the pharmaceutical sciences who make a difference on human health worldwide.
The Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is comprised of nationally recognized, dynamic and collegial faculty whose vision is to lead the nation in achieving excellence in innovative translational research, education, and progressive pharmacy practice to optimize drug therapy outcomes. Collaborative research opportunities exist with faculty in the Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases, Center for AIDS Research, Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, Carolina Institute for Nanomedicine, Center for Pharmacogenomics and Individualized Therapy, and other programs in the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy. These Schools comprise one of the nation’s few comprehensive academic health centers located on a world-class research campus. The Division has vibrant fellowship and graduate programs, including an NIH-funded T32 postdoctoral training program in Clinical Pharmacology in collaboration with Duke University and the UNC Institute for Drug Safety Sciences.
The Kashuba laboratory supports the mission of the School and the Division by initiating and conducting research and scholarly activities in the area of HIV treatment, prevention and cure.
