Office Coordinator Position, Senior Services

The Mustard Seed Project of Key Peninsula (TMSP) is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping Key Peninsula (KP) senior to age safely in place in their homes and community, and to make the KP a great place to grow older. TMSP offers a wide variety of programs serving seniors and the broader community. As we continue to grow, TMSP is looking to fill the integral position of Office Coordinator.

About Us

Since 2007, the Mustard Seed Project has worked to build an elder-friendly Key Peninsula where our elders can age in place with dignity and respect. Our mission is to ensure choices for healthy aging on the Key Peninsula by connecting seniors with innovative programs and resources. A nonprofit organization, 75 volunteers help us provide transportation, friendly visitors, information & referral, health & wellness classes, and education. We recently opened our newly-built assisted living and memory care homes on our campus in Key Center, Mustard Seed Village; and are integrating Village elders into our programs and social activities.

As part of your job, you will:

  • Welcome and assist visitors, orienting visitors to our new MySeniorCenter kiosk system
  • Respond to high-volume phone and email inquiries
  • Maintain online records and physical files as directed
  • Update our master calendar, including our board committee and board meeting calendars.
  • Research relevant topics as required and assist with writing reports
  • Assist with preparing for Board of Director meetings, distributing and keeping vital information.
  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory and manage small gift store items and sales
  • Assist with community and fundraising events along with volunteers and staff team

This Monday through Friday position requires

  • Availability to work 8 hours each day and for drop-in hours 10am-4pm

Skills with communication, organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to multitask

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to use database applications (experience with MySeniorCenter a plus)
  • Awareness and compliance with HIPPA regulations and general adherence to confidentiality
  • Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift for other physical activity involved in set-up and preparation for events and meetings

Applicant will be based in our Crandall Center offices in Key Center.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
