Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar invites applications for postdoctoral position.
The Postdoctoral Researcher at CMU-Q supports the vision and mission of the faculty in the Department of Arts & Sciences. The successful candidate will work on research aimed to support integration of SDGs in schools in Qatar, with a specific focus on SDG 4.7 related to education for sustainable development and global citizenship education.
The candidate will be responsible for leading and conducting all research-related tasks, from IRB application to the writing of the literature review, methods, analysis, and report writing, as well as interventions within schools and working closely with collaborators.
The research will be related to the educational landscape in Qatar, identity formation, and global citizenship education.
The candidate must have a deep familiarity with evidence of strong research record on SDGs and be a bilingual speaker in Arabic and English.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and conduct research on SDG 4.7, with a focus on education, identity formation, and global citizenship education.
• Design and implement research studies, including but not limited to literature reviews, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
• Collect, manage, and analyze data.
• Write research reports, manuscripts, and presentations for conference meetings.
• Present research at conference meetings and represent the team.
• Work with colleagues to disseminate research findings.
