Summary

The research projects in our group focus on investigating the essential neural mechanisms underlying aberrant eating behavior, energy expenditure, glucose metabolism that can contribute to obesity and metabolic disease. We are highly interested in identifying novel neural circuits, neuron populations, molecules and signaling pathways that are critical for control of energy homeostasis using various molecular, genetic, and viral approaches, including in vitro electrophysiology, in vivo calcium imaging, viral gene delivery, opto- and chemical genetic and pharmacological methods, transgenic rodents, molecular/cellular neurobiology, gene sequencing, biochemistry. We aim to develop novel, highly effective, and translational strategies to treat obesity and metabolic diseases. More information about our research can be found by visiting: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=dZhXuT0AAAAJ&hl=en . Individuals with expertise in one or multiple of the following aspects: Patch-clamp electrophysiology, rodent behavior study, RNA-sequencing, proteomics, or other multi-omics studies, are highly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with renowned researchers and gain hands-on experience in a vibrant and collaborative research environment. Additionally, the postdoctoral fellow will have access to state-of-the-art research facilities and resources, as well as opportunities for professional development and networking within the scientific community.
