Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Kumar Lab focuses on malaria parasite sexual stage biology and parasite transmission to the mosquito vector. Malaria is a global burden with thousands of deaths annually. The postdoctoral fellows will study the cellular
and molecular signaling pathways leading to differentiation of asexually
replicating parasites into gametocytes, gametogenesis, and gamete fertility.
These studies will utilize human-infective malaria parasites including parasite
field isolates.


Required Minimum Qualifications:

 PhD or Equivalent
 


Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Experience with microscopy and molecular biology techniques.

  •  Experience conducting research in the parasitology, reproductive biology, molecular biology.

  • Experience in protocol and manuscript development and in grant writing.
