| Position Summary | A position for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (RA) in the laboratory of Dr. Juan Song in the Department of Pharmacology, University of North Carolina, School of Medicine. The overall goal of Song lab is to identify neuronal circuitry and signaling mechanisms underlying broadly defined hippocampal function, including learning and memory, emotion regulation, and adult hippocampal neurogenesis. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | A Ph.D. and/or M.D. in biomedical or related sciences is required. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Candidates are expected to have strong problem solving, oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collegiality with colleagues in a laboratory setting, as well as independently. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Preference will be given to candidates with experience in molecular biology, neuron-glia interaction, and multiomics. Training in neuroscience, molecular biology, stem cell and glia biology is preferred. |
