Posting Summary	Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a full time Mental Health Clinician III at Southwoods State Prison in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The Mental Health Clinician III participates in the clinical needs assessment of adult inmates/patients sentenced to the Department of Corrections. Arrives at diagnoses with precision and accuracy by the end of the evaluation session. Develops treatment plans. Makes clinically based decisions regarding appropriateness for treatment, as well as preferred treatment modality. Assesses and makes referrals for higher levels of care, as appropriate. Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs and behaviors of adults and seniors. Skilled in providing group and individual therapies. Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs and behaviors of adult inmates/patients. Provides individual assessment, as clinically indicated to assigned inmates/patients. Provides case administration services which include the development and implementation of treatment plans for assigned inmates/patients and ongoing assessments and release/discharge planning. Maintains appropriate inmate/patient clinical records in a timely manner, as mandated by RBHS policy. Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the field. Contributes to and supports goals and objectives of this unit of Rutgers-University Correctional Health Care. Demonstrates resourcefulness and initiative in support of overall unit mission.

Minimum Education and Experience	* Master’s Degree in Social Work or directly related mental health discipline.
Certifications/Licenses	* Licensure in Social Work (LSW) is required. * Valid driver’s license

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
