After School Program Leader & Driver

The YMCA's After School program is growing fast and we are seeking outstanding staff to support our school-age department and grow into leadership roles.

Responsibilities:

• The After School Leader & Driver is responsible for assisting Child Care Leadership in the implementation of programming for a group of school age children. This role is responsible for participating in activities for school-aged children that foster overall character building in a before/afterschool program setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Participate in a variety of activities for school-aged children;
• Follow program schedule including snack time, homework time, cleanup and other times set for activities;
• Assist in maintaining high standard of health and safety keeping the health and welfare of all children in mind at all times;
• Participate and assist in schools out camp.

Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age (required)
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
• Holds and maintains a valid drivers license
• Enrolled and remaining current in the Oregon Criminal Registry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.20 - $14.75 per hour

Experience:

• Experience with Children: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
