Job Overview

Assists professional staff (RNs, Physicians, NPs, PAs) in administering healthcare and in supporting clinic flow of patients and families in a clinic setting by performing delegated activities as outlined in the Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Competency Guidelines.

Shift: two 10-hour shifts 7a-530p Mon-Fri

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION - High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers / CPR.

Responsibilities

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE

  • a.) Neonate - <30 days
  • b.) Infancy - >30 days to 1yr
  • c.) Toddlers - >1yr to 3yrs
  • d.) Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs
  • e.) School age - >5yrs to 13yrs
  • f.) Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs
  • g.) Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Aware of and understands hospital and departmental measures for evaluating clinical practice, including knowledge of the goals of the department, division and organization, the quality improvement process and the location of policies, procedures and guidelines for practice.
  • Demonstrates accountability for care provided.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of unit specific responsibilities for care delivery, organizational skills, to include prioritization and time management of clinic flow.
  • Demonstrates knowledge/understanding of the process for performance evaluation including continuing education and annual requirements.
  • Understands the roles within the multidisciplinary team providing family centered patient care while maintaining objective and professional boundaries.
  • Utilizes and documents the process to provide developmentally appropriate care to infants and children with complex health care needs and the plans of care in implementing patient/family care.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $37,611.26 to $56,416.89
Hourly Salary Range: $18.08 to $27.12
