Job Description

Nevada State University (NSU) actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

NSU invites applications for an open pool of business adjunct faculty for in-person, online or hybrid courses in the following areas:

• Accounting
• Business
• Business Law**
• Economics
• Finance
• Information Systems
• Management
• Marketing

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.

Adjunct faculty members teaching business courses (not including Business Law) are compensated at the rate of $1,320 per credit hour.

**Business Law will be compensated at the rate of $1,000 per credit hour.

Courses are typically 3 credits.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in business or related field.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (NSU does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in business or related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Relevant industry experience.
• Local knowledge of the Southern Nevada business community.
