Biology/Life Science Instructor

Job Description

This position is a standard nine-month appointment with potential summer assignments.

Successful candidate will principally teach Anatomy and Physiology I and II. Duties include teaching a 12-15 hour minimum course load each semester, providing student advising, serving on college committees, and holding 15 office hours per week. Other responsibilities include assessment and evaluation of instruction, curriculum planning and review, involvement in student recruitment and retention-related activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum requirements include an earned master’s degree in biological science or an earned master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field. Community college experience with the ability and willingness to utilize innovative technologies and delivery methods are expected. The qualified applicant must be flexible, exhibit initiative, work closely with all ANC staff and students, as well as participate in college and community activities.

SALARY

Salary commensurate with education and experience as defined on the Faculty Placement

Schedule. A generous fringe benefits package is included.
