Description

Clemson University’s Department of Public Health Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to support a federally funded research project in collaboration with the Addiction Medicine Center at Prisma Health. Presently, Clemson is ranked 27th among top national public universities by U.S. News & World Report research university with a strong commitment to teaching and student success. Duties and Responsibilities:

The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator to carry out all aspects of the study, including oversight of implementation and dissemination activities. Additionally, the scope of responsibilities will include literature reviews, data analysis, and writing or assisting with manuscripts. The fellow will also submit for additional extramural funding, including an NIH Career Development Award. Areas of research that will be addressed during this postdoctoral fellowship include, but are not limited to, augmented reality therapy, opioid use disorder, cognitive behavioral therapy, infectious diseases, opioid epidemiology, healthcare delivery, and public health research. The postdoctoral fellow will benefit from academic faculty mentors from Clemson University and clinical faculty mentors from Prisma Health. This full-time, grant-funded position will be supported for a period of 24-months, beginning in summer 2023. Women and underrepresented populations are encouraged to apply for this position.


Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Public Health Sciences, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, or relevant areas. Strong programming skills using SAS or R, and knowledge of REDCap database are desired, and interpersonal skills in addition to written and oral communication skills are also strongly preferred.
