The E3 Foundation

Job Description

LOCATION

Hybrid/Remote/Local – Must reside in or be willing to transition to the Charleston Tri-County Region, SC.

Our Why

Educate, Empower, Elevate (E3) Foundation was born out of a need to provide representation in education; the classroom, leadership, and the decision-makers in the Charleston region. To sustain change in our educational systems, we must have schools led by teachers and leaders who are both effective educators and reflect the demographics of the student population. (DIVERSITY) We must also have parents, caregivers, and community members that are educated and equipped to advance change on behalf of their children at the table, helping to make decisions about the children we serve. (INCLUSION). We believe that the work of improving educational options begins by co-creating a community vision for the Charleston region. (EQUITY) Further, through our journey, we recognize that the families we seek to serve within the education system are also suffering from the same inequities in every system that they encounter in their daily lives.

Therefore, we envision a community that embodies a healthy environment for racial and economic justice for Black and Brown people and embraces the brilliance of our people to solve their problems and co-create their future.

Who We Are

E3 is a community-based organization whose mission is to ensure those most impacted by inequities are educated, empowered, and elevated to exercise their collective agency in the South. Our guiding principle is that those most impacted by systemic inequities - people of color - must be at the center of all decision-making. It is not only our North Star but is fundamental to their approach. E3 leaders are social entrepreneurs who are competent, committed, and community-minded, and have experience across sectors including non-profit, advocacy, corporate, and public education.
