About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY
The candidate will primarily conduct research on programming with, and
reasoning about, concurrent actor programs with shared state. This
involves both develop semantic models of the language and a
programming system that checks behavioral types and connects the types
with a model checker. The candidate will collaborate with the PI.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate is expected to have completed a PhD with a research
focus on actors and concurrency. The ideal candidate is familiar with
the Syndicate programming language (see syndicate-lang.org) and the
SPIN model checker.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

- write papers
- train an undergraduate researcher
The candidate may use some time to prepare a course on concurrent
programming. The details are to be negotiated with the College.
