Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor Business Analytics

Job Description

Park University’s College of Management and Robert W. Plaster School of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor qualified to teach Park’s graduate business analytics curriculum. This position is located at the University’s Parkville, Missouri flagship campus.
 
Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position will be responsible for teaching 8 courses (24 credit hours/academic year) predominately on campus in a face to face modality. Park’s business analytics curriculum includes courses in data mining, data visualization, predictive analytics, and digital marketing analytics. Students work on applied projects using statistical tools, coding and data visualization software. Specific courses will depend on the candidate’s areas of experience and may include assignments in other related areas of business. The candidate’s teaching load may also include fully online courses.
Opportunities for online course development may also be available.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in the following areas of Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Predictive Analytics, and related fields.
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Knowledge of Python or R, Tableau, and statistical software.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate or ABD relevant to the Business Analytics program curriculum.
  • Industrial experience in Business Analytics or closely related fields.
  • Experience in online curriculum design.
  • Experience in online teaching using Canvas or other Learning Management Systems.
  • Research record or strong research interest in the areas relevant to the ISBA focus
  • Industry connections in the area of Business Analytics
