Full Job Description

The purpose of this position is to participate, maintain and improve program services that are effective, efficient, and financially prudent. The individual is responsible for oversight of all aspects of resident care, programming, staffing, community operations and fiscal management. Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, state and local requirements.

Resident/client care and Risk Management within each care community as listed below:

  • Have a general understanding of the aging process and the changes that come with aging.
  • Facilitate and participate in community growth and advancement.
  • Responsible for the care community’s protection and promotion of residents’ health, safety, well-being and choice; promote resident individuality, privacy and dignity; ensure compliance with best practices and expectations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the facility staff identify and review incidents and accidents, resident complaints and concerns, patterns and trends in overall facility operation such as provision of resident care and service and take action to alleviate problems and prevent recurrence.
  • Responsible for detection and prevention of any form of abuse to include ensuring compliance with community abuse policies and procedures.
  • In conjunction with Resident Services, oversee the admission and retention process and provide case management services to residents, ensuring the completion of pre-occupancy screening, assessment/reassessment, and negotiated service planning in conjunction with the resident, family, care team and other necessary individuals.
  • Facilitate Resident Council meetings.
  • Comply with all local, state and federal rules and regulations. Ensure proper procedures are in place to clarify and maintain current status of staff.

Departmental operations responsibilities within each care community include:

  • Meet and consult with each department supervisor regarding staffing, budget, in-service attendance, overall effectiveness and maintenance of each department. Responsible for ensuring staffing appropriate in number and qualification to meet residents’ needs.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Assisted Living Administrator with license in good standing in the state of Nebraska.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 2-years prior experience in long term care or assisted living setting with management experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to perform work safely.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including adaptability and willingness to accept progressive levels of responsibility and accountability. Must possess ability to work well with residents, families, doctors and all disciplines in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong problem solving and conceptual skills, which includes ability to work in a diverse, multi-faceted environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $68,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
