Summary

The School of Nursing at the University of Michigan School is seeking an experienced, positive, highly motivated, and organized person to work with a growing research team who also has a commitment to contributing to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all members of our community. The Research Area Specialist Associate will work with the principal investigator and other research team members to efficiently carry out a range of tasks associated with qualitative and quantitative data, including data, collection, database management, basic data analysis, and other general research duties related to project operations. This position is expected to work both independently and with other members of the research team. The position would involve work related to research on disasters/public health emergencies and healthy aging

Responsibilities*

?         Assist with general data related activities including organizing and managing project databases; creating electronic surveys; performing data cleaning and creating databases from electronic survey data; and developing and implementing data quality control measures

?         Work closely with data analyst to assist in performing basic statistical analyses

?         Assist with qualitative data research activities including coding and analyzing qualitative data

?         Assist with the recruitment and enrollment of participants; track study participants and monitor completion of data collection

?         Track subject incentive payments and assist in preparing and submitting payment requests

?         Attend regular meetings related to progress of project and provide study updates

?         Assist with literature reviews and writing sections of working papers

?         Assist with preparation of posters and/or abstracts for presentations at local and national meetings

?         Assist in preparation of state and federal reports

?         Help plan and coordinate work of students and entry level research staff under the supervision of the PI and project manager

?         Perform additional research duties as assigned
