The HDM Operations Coordinator will manage day-to-day operations and special projects with efficiency, effectiveness, and high-touch customer service. The HDM Operations Coordinator will oversee the training, coaching, and development of the Home Delivery Meals operation, clear away obstacles and smooth the way for our HDM team, clients, partners, and community to advance YWCA Houston’s vision, mission, values, and program work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and manage all aspects of safety and security of the Home Delivery Meals Independent Drivers. Manage required inspections and safety activities such as first-aid, driver safety, and food managers. Manage food handle licenses and make sure all are current on both HDM and Congregate.

First responder for HDM driver incidents, weather, and other critical events as they may affect the daily services of HDM clients.

Respond to urgent issues related to HDM operational responsibilities and participate in an uninterrupted daily delivery schedule while managing drivers to ensure excellent client services are being provided.

Report to Senior Services Program Manager with HDM service area requests to ensure that the HDM side is clean, safe, well-maintained, inviting, and well-appointed to support our work.

Oversee general process, data management, and reporting for all routes, and HDM drivers including but not limited to route sheets, timesheets, turn-for-turns, client emergency forms, driver emergency forms, H.O.M.E Project forms, and routes.

Facilitate HDM logistics for internal and external events with a focus on excellent service and promoting strong community partnerships. Provide additional support for high-profile events as needed.

Identify opportunities to, develop, and implement new policies, processes, and procedures with the goal of continuous improvement, environmental sustainability, and reducing operating costs to build a strong culture of accountability, respect, teamwork, stewardship, and a focus on quantifiable results.

Proactively seek opportunities to coach, develop, and provide both affirming and adjusting feedback.

Develop productive, trusting relationships with staff and lead cross-functional working groups to tackle operational issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
