Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Behavior Technician for the Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services. Reporting to a Behavior Analyst, this position implements a variety of behavior analytic strategies in support of successful outcomes for adults with autism across the areas of skill acquisition and/or behavior reduction goals throughout center-based and community-based environments. This entails collecting, interpreting, and analyzing behavioral data.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Contributes to the development of behavior analytic instructional programming under the supervision of a behavior analyst.
- Provides direct support to adults with autism with limited direct supervision in a variety of settings and contexts (e.g., community, vocational, recreational, transportation, center-based, etc.)
- Implements applied behavior analysis (ABA) instructional and behavior reduction programming under the supervision of a behavior analyst.
- Collects and maintains data to support progress monitoring of behavior analytic skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming.
- Maintains an efficient and organized instructional environment across center-based and community-based settings.
- Operates professionally in community-based environments with minimal supervision.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
