Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for The School of Social Work’s Center for Research on Ending Violence (REV). This position is responsible for providing programmatic day to day oversight and supporting the Center’s research programs and teaching needs.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Administers and manages the development of projects, policies, and procedures in support of REV.
  • Performs professional level work that requires knowledge of program coordination and the application of concepts, theories, principles, practices, and terminology of the Center.
  • Completes other work consistent with a broad understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the Center, as well as supporting the responsibilities of the Center Director and Associate Director.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human service management or administration or an equivalent area.
  • Two years of experience in program management, fiscal management, and/or applied community-based research.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheet functions to help track fiscal records.
  • Interest in addressing the issue of interpersonal violence.
  • Must successfully complete Rutgers University Human Subjects Certification Program (CITI) within two weeks of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate level degree in human service management or administration (MSW included) or an equivalent area.
  • Knowledge of/experience with addressing the topic of interpersonal violence.
  • Experience as a supervisor and/or managing operations.
  • Experience with Canva and Prezi or other web-based presentation programs.
  • Experience with Cornerstone.
  • Ability to design and disseminate social media messages.
Equipment Utilized
  • The position requires the regular use of a Windows computer and expertise with the following software: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Lifting up to 25lbs.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Administrative load can be hectic and non-stop at times.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain a medical or religious exemption from the University will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
