The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will use chemical synthesis, biochemical and biophysical methods to study abiological transformations in metalloenzymes.
This position will be mentored by Dr. Wei-Chen Chang (Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry). The Postdoctoral Research Scholar and Dr. Chang will meet weekly to discuss research progress and to set up goals.
The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will be expected to publish one to two papers in 12 months.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work Schedule
M-F, 40 hours/week, some evenings and weekendsDepartment Required Skills
- Experience with synthetic chemistry, photo-chemistry, ligand synthesis, UV-Vis, EPR, and kinetics.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- PhD with a preferred discipline of Organic and/or Inorganic Chemistry with focus on metallo-cofactor synthesis and characterization.
