The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will use chemical synthesis, biochemical and biophysical methods to study abiological transformations in metalloenzymes.

This position will be mentored by Dr. Wei-Chen Chang (Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry). The Postdoctoral Research Scholar and Dr. Chang will meet weekly to discuss research progress and to set up goals.

The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will be expected to publish one to two papers in 12 months.

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for the Postdoctoral Research Scholar will be to carry out chemical synthesis, purification of proteins and development of biochemical and biophysical assay.

The secondary responsibility will be to train and mentor new students.
