Join the Stanford School of Medicine Human Resources Group (HRG) in leading and changing medicine as we know it today. We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to provide complex administrative and operational support to drive toward the department’s strategic priorities.  

Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies, programs, and activities to enhance employee experience, morale, and productivity. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including HRG teams, managers, and leaders, to further our strategic priorities and create a positive work culture. 

THE DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop and implement programs aligned with HRG’s vision and values. The initial focus will be internal department engagement programs such as on-site residency, onboarding, off-boarding, and wellness.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for programs.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and within budget.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify engagement trends, best practices, and innovative approaches and ensure that programs and facilities are inclusive, accessible, and safe to meet the needs of a diverse group of participants.
  • Create and deliver effective communication plans and ensure all stakeholders are well-informed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gain support, secure resources, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes employee well-being.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project Management experience in leading small projects and supporting more significant initiatives.
  • Polished written and oral communication skills to address various audiences.
  • Ability to productively engage and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated resilience, diplomacy, influence, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills in various situations.
  • Experience with LEAN / Process Improvement methods
  • Experience with Human Resources programs and processes.
  • Experience successfully managing program/project plans to deliver on time and within budget
  • Experience managing programs with multiple program sponsors

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and multi-task.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant subject matter knowledge.
  • Ability to direct the work of others for jobs requiring supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
  • Occasionally use a telephone.
  • Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.

 The expected pay range for this position is $66,100 to $107,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
