Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor all mammography follow up as required for regulatory compliance. Communicate these results to the Director of Breast Imaging as well as the supervisor of Breast Imaging.
  • In partnership with the community sites, prepare schedules (pre and post) including scheduling and completing of all cases for the clinical schedule. 
  • Prepare workflow which includes requesting prior mammograms and reports as well as preparing detailed and accurate work lists for radiologists' interpretation of mammography at a high volume.
  • Transcribe mammography reports for all radiologists
  • Send out patient result letters in a timely manner to ensure compliance.
  • Send out reports to ordering clinicians at health sites
  • In partnership with the community sites, assist in follow up appointments to ensure compliance.
  • Answer questions and educate patients as related to breast health.
  • In partnership with the community sites, ensure accurate eligibility for mobile mammography.
  • In collaboration with the program director and the supervisor of the breast imaging, work as an integral part of the team to increase awareness about the importance of comprehensive mammography services that includes imaging and breast health.

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience required. BS degree preferred. Applicants with significant experience in a health care setting encouraged to apply. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of computer applications including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel. 
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with peers, leadership and external contacts.
  • Must posses the ability to maintain confidentiality and pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through.
