Description

Are you passionate about navigating sophisticated cybersecurity challenges in highly sensitive environments?

Are you drive by the mission of protecting classified information while facilitating impactful collaborations?

If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL.

We are ranked as one of Computerworld 's Top Places to Work in IT 5 years running, and we are seeking a dedicated Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to safeguard our multi-tenant, highly classified information technology infrastructure.

As a part of our team, you'll be pivotal in maintaining the optimal security posture for our multi-tenant systems. You'll work closely with the Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Program Security Representatives, and Program Managers to support Sponsor/Program needs in a highly classified setting. Join our team of technical specialists who are deeply committed to supporting our Program's objectives.

As a Multi-Tenant Information Systems Security Manager you will...

  • Design, implement, and supervise security policies, standards, and procedures tailored to sensitive environments.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of government regulations and industry standards, ensuring that all tenants meet these requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-tenant collaboration, effectively managing issues that arise related to security.
  • Advocate for the consistent application of security measures across all tenants and coordinate regular meetings to discuss and resolve security issues.
  • Collaborate with System Administrators and Network Engineers to establish and maintain robust network segregation and data isolation between tenants. This includes orchestrating threat intelligence sharing, containment actions, and recovery operations that minimize the impact on other tenants.
  • Perform tenant-specific risk assessments and security audits, considering each tenant's unique activities, the shared nature of the environment, and the specific threats associated with highly classified information.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience.
  • Hold a relevant cybersecurity certification, such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+.
  • Possess experience managing security in multi-tenant environments and highly classified settings.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively convey sophisticated security information to diverse audiences.
  • Hold a current Top Secret security clearance with the ability to acquire a TS/SCI security clearance within six months. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Have demonstrated ability to design and implement security solutions to address outstanding risks.
  • Possess specialized training or certification in multi-tenant cybersecurity management, such as a certification in cloud security or virtualization security.
  • Have proven innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement new security strategies in a multi-tenant context, demonstrating improved security outcomes.
