Provides services and resources for students to support their success, both inside and outside the classroom, from initial contact through recruitment to their graduation. This position will primarily perform outreach duties to increase community awareness of the college, department programs, and career options. This position coordinates intervention and brings together academic success resources for students that may be experiencing barriers to achieving their potential. In collaboration with key departments, faculty, staff, and community resources, this position will prioritize a holistic approach to student success.
Develop and implement a marketing plan and social media strategy to increase awareness of key programs in the Schools of Business & Information Technology and Science & Aeronautics. Develop and manage marketing materials, website, and social media messaging in collaboration with TCC's Marketing and Communications department. Design and execute recruiting events.
Collaborate with Academic Advising and Enrollment Management to support a coordinated approach to prospective student recruitment. Coordinate and conduct information-sharing sessions at area schools, college events, career fairs, and off-campus industry sites within the Business & Information Technology and Science & Aeronautics sectors. Schedule and execute on-campus tours with prospective students and visitors.
Collaborate with TCC Career Services and industry partners to connect students to internship opportunities. Coordinate yearly career-related workshops and training sessions to assist students in obtaining successful employment.
Prepare students for the transition into TCC by planning, coordinating, and implementing
workshops, meetings, and activities designed for K-12 and adult learners.
Continually develop employer contacts and student databases for ongoing follow-up and
communication.
Track, analyze, and report the performance of ad-hoc requests and marketing and recruitment activities.
Collect and organize occupational data to provide source materials for prospective students.
Maintain a time and effort worksheet to demonstrate time utilization.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree or equivalent education in Business, Information Technology, Science, or an Aerospace related field.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to lift or pull up to 15 pounds.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Technology, Science, or an Aerospace related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with equivalent work experience.
1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Data gathering, information compiling, and report preparation experience.
