Discovery Postdoctoral Fellow, Phase Separation in Cancer

Novartis

Job Description

Job Description

1 Purpose - to reimagine medicine! Come join the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) as a Discovery Postdoctoral Fellow and contribute to unraveling one of the most intriguing gene regulatory mechanisms in Oncology - phase separation and disease progression.

NIBR is the innovation engine of Novartis. We collaborate across scientific and organizational boundaries, with a focus on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients.

Our Oncology Team in Cambridge, MA is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Postdoctoral Fellow who will delineate the role of Transcription Factor (TF) biomolecular condensates in gene expression programs that drive cancer progression and drug resistance.

The projects will combine multiple lines of investigation, including molecular and cellular biology studies, super-resolution microscopy, and chromatin profiling. The Fellow will collaborate with experts across subject areas and platforms including biochemistry, data-science, translational oncology, and drug discovery. This is an outstanding opportunity to drive innovative, interdisciplinary research expected to be published in leading journals.

NIBR Fellows join our vibrant postdoctoral community for dedicated events, including the monthly postdoctoral seminars and our annual Research Day Symposium. All NIBR Fellows participate to our robust curriculum designed to develop scientific and professional skills. The postdoctoral term is up to 4 years.
