Job Description


The Cosmological Physics and Advanced Computing (CPAC) group at Argonne invites applicants for a postdoctoral associate to conduct research on topics related to theory and modeling of large-scale structure cosmology. The applicant would work with Andrew Hearin on forward modeling galaxy SEDs and the galaxy--halo connection in a broad scientific program related to DESI, LSST, and CMB-S4 cross-correlations.

Collaboration with other CPAC staff members is highly encouraged; our postdocs additionally benefit from strong collaborations with cosmologists, applied mathematicians, computer scientists, and statisticians; they will also have access to world-leading supercomputing resources. The position has a flexible start date that could begin as soon as Fall 2023, and is renewable annually for up to three years.

Position Requirements

Ph.D. degree level with 0 to 3 years of experience or equivalent

(Please note that Ph.D. is required but must not have been more than three years prior to the starting date)
