The Egner Lab at Duke University is inviting applications for an NIH-funded Postdoctoral Associate position. We study cognitive control using behavioral/modeling, fMRI, EEG, and TMS approaches (see http://www.egnerlab.org/ ). The Postdoctoral Associate will build specifically on our ongoing research examining neurocognitive mechanisms underpinning the regulation of task focus (cognitive stability) and task switching (cognitive flexibility). 
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience or a related field, and a strong publication record in the areas of cognitive control, attention, or memory. Strong programming and statistical skills are essential, experience with fMRI (especially multivariate analysis techniques) and/or EEG (especially intracranial) are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully juggle multiple projects, make connections across research areas, and enjoy mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. 
Responsibilities will include developing study designs, programming experiments, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation, research presentations, IRB submissions, and the supervision of students and research assistants. 
This position will provide the opportunity to interact with a vibrant cognitive neuroscience community at Duke, including collaborations with other PIs in the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience. This position has full benefits, and salary will be based on the NIH scale. 
This is a full time, grant funded position, eligible for all Duke benefits (https://hr.duke.edu/benefits ) with an initial appointment of one year with the possibility of renewal for up to 3 years, dependent on funding and performance.
