Position Summary
A computational postdoctoral fellow is presently needed by the Masood Lab at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Highly motivated individuals with a PhD in computer science or bioinformatics are encouraged to apply. Please visit our website for further details.
 
We create statistical, machine learning, and deep learning approaches for the processing of this data with a major focus on single cell, spatial transcriptomics of solid tumors. This has a variety of data, including cosmic, 10X Visium, and 10x single cell data. The ultimate goal is to find new treatment targets and learn more about the genetic abnormalities that underlie cancer. 
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and developing statistical and computational methods, as well as software tools, to analyze large-scale genomics data. This role presents exciting opportunities for collaboration with members of the Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (https://medicine.iu.edu/research-centers/computational-biology-bioinformatics ) and various departments within the Indiana University School of Medicine, including Cancer, Genetics,  and Immunology.
