Posting Summary
The primary purpose of Supervising Accountant (Grants and Contracts) is to lead assigned Financial Analysts in servicing Principal Investigators Sponsored Program accounts by deliverance of accurate and reliable post administration of Grants and Contracts on behalf of Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey awards.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance, Accounting, and Business or related field.
  • 4+ years of related experience in a Basic Research/Sponsored Programs Research environment within a healthcare or academic organization.
  • Strong financial experience in Oracle ICloud applications is required.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient with state and federal policies that would impact research and grant financial activities.
  • The ideal candidate will have accounting skills, be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills and communication.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced skill level in Excel required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience at a non- profit and/or higher education medical center is preferred.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
