Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Assistant Manager of The Student Financial Service Center acts as an integral liaison between Office Student Financial Services & Cashiering (SFSC) and other departments both within and external to the campus. The incumbent will handle the Financial Services Center’s daily business needs in conjunction with upper management of the department.
Duties include supervising the Financial Service Center, maintaining staffing and knowledge base of both the service center staff, the Office of Student Financial Aid systems, and the Office of the Registrar. This is to include providing training and ongoing coaching and mentoring for employees and ensuring quality and timeliness of customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and / or experience.

A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and / or experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a customer service setting, with preference to that of a higher education setting.
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Analytical skills with the ability to explain both simple and complex financial issues to customers.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully with students, staff and faculty from diverse cultures, backgrounds and identity groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and sustain a high level of professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Additional Information:
Target Hiring range $59,360 – $74,200. The salary range will be commensurate to the experience level of the applicant.
