Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
This position provides housekeeping services in an assigned area; maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, appearance, healthfulness, and safety possible so that the purposes, safety and comfort of the people and the places we serve are enabled. A successful Housekeeper develops and maintains positive and supportive relationships with their co-workers and the occupants of the areas they serve. They employ the tools of the trade and the skills of their training efficiently and professionally and are economical in the use of both time and materials. They are committed to continuously improving through professional and personal development and applying new skills and procedures in the workplace.
This position is on our night shift working 12:00 Midnight – 8:30AM

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations; to operate assigned tools and housekeeping equipment; to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions; to understand and follow directions; to lift and transport supplies and refuse; to wear and work in personal protective equipment.

Occupational Related Bloodborne Pathogen ExposurePhysical Demands
- Housekeeper may work in un-air-conditioned spaces and are required to work with cleaning chemicals, lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds, use powered equipment, stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop and perform overhead work as part of routine cleaning responsibilities.
- Housekeeper may be required to work overtime during certain periods (semester transitions, weekends, and holidays) and in support of emergencies and events that would result in a work week exceeding 40 hours.
