Postdoctoral Research Associate at Duke University

A post-doctoral research associate position is now open at Duke University. The ideal individual will develop novel statistical and computational methods for multi-omics data (such as whole-genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, single-cell sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics data) and integrative analysis with other metadata and electronic health record data. The individual will work with Dr. Jichun Xie (https://jichunxie.github.io) and collaborate with other faculty members in quantitative and biomedical areas in and outside Duke University.

We expect a successful candidate to have the following qualifications.

  • Completed Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Strong skills in statistical or machine learning methodology development and implementation; experience in deep learning and imaging processing is a plus
  • Strong programming skills in R or Python; experience in genomics pre-processing pipelines is a plus
  • Strong motivation to study genomics or other related biomedical areas
