Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Player Enhancement for Women’s Basketball. Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, this position will assist in the coordination of the Women’s Basketball Intercollegiate Athletics Program which provides the opportunity for female student-athletes to train and compete in a competitive, Division I women’s basketball environment while attending school to earn a college degree. Additional responsibility to lead in developing programming and activities related to teaching and enhancing WBB Core Values, Culture and Leadership skills.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Coordinates and manages all Life Skills activities for the women’s basketball team, including personal enhancement, career, business, and leadership development for the student-athletes, both on and off the court.
  • Monitors and encourages student-athletes in their academic requirements and endeavors in collaboration with Academic Advisor.
  • Assists basketball staff with the planning, organization, and execution of all major recruiting functions.
  • Assists coaching staff with execution of official and unofficial campus visits, along with all virtual visits.
  • Strategically analyzes film of opponents and creates a detailed scouting report for said opponent.
  • Assists in instructing student-athletes in the proper basketball skills and techniques in practice and competition settings.
  • Meets regularly with Academic Advisor to coordinate admissions and matriculation of new student-athletes to campus.
  • In coordination with head coach, coordinates diversity and inclusion programming.
  • Organizes and coordinates basketball instruction for all summer basketball camps.
  • Coordinates and manages correspondence to WBB alumnae and families.
  • Other special projects and events as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of Big Ten Conferences and NCAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
