The Opportunity:

The UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science is seeking qualified candidates for a Human Resources Coordinator III position. The Human Resources Coordinator III will provide complex human resources administrative support while supervising all HR Business Center tasks for the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The HR Coordinator III will perform complex human resources functions that are requested by the faculty, the HR Partner, and the Director. The HR Coordinator III will efficiently assign all human resources tasks to HR Coordinator Is and HR Coordinator IIs to monitor task completion. The HR Coordinator III will provide guidance to the HR Coordinator Is and the HR Coordinator IIs in performing all HR transactions for their assigned areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain client relationships with department chairs and act as the primary functional access for all HR-related matters in the assigned colleges and departments.

  • Manage, lead, and provide general guidance to the HR Coordinators in completing all HR-related tasks that are assigned to the HRBC as well as assist with training when necessary.

  • Proactively assign HR transactions to the HR Coordinator Is and IIs as required as well as monitors all completion of assigned tasks from either the CECS HR inbox and/or the Help workspace.

  • Maintain functional expertise and the capability to perform all tasks that are assigned and completed by HR Coordinators Is and IIs.

  • Maintain awareness and complete all required reporting focusing on key business processes such as I-9s, LOAs, terminations, new hires, etc.

  • Proactively correspond with candidates, faculty, staff, and department chairs to answer any questions or concerns while also completing all requested HR tasks.

  • Facilitate all complex HR transactions that are more time-consuming and detailed to ensure they are being properly executed including contracted Postdoctoral agreements within the College of Engineering and Computer Science.

  • Process HR transactions in Workday by reviewing and approving manager-initiated processes or initiating processes on behalf of the manager.

  • Monitor help workspace and CECS HR Inbox to complete all moderately complex assigned HR transactions.

  • Provide updates on incomplete tasks to the HR Team and supports in opportunity areas if needed.

  • Utilize reporting tools to keep track of pending actions, forthcoming actions, and processing of WD transactions.

  • Support the HR Partner and HR Director on large projects to improve the HRBC.

  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management with the partnership of the HR Partner and HR Director.

  • Complete all administrative HR tasks that may arise especially during the high season from the Dean, Associate Deans, Chairs, Faculty, HR Coordinator Is & IIs, HR Partner, and the HR Director.

  • Maintain ongoing sensibility of personnel/staff actions occurring within the Department and Colleges to address any disruptions in the HR processes.

  • Assist with creating action plans to better business processes within the HRBC and relationships with chairs and faculty.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 1 year or more experience using Workday.

  • Related HR Certification.

  • Higher education experience.
