Serve as the first contact for faculty, staff, and students who need technical assistance with passwords, computer systems, network infrastructure, data/network security, and associated peripherals.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of Windows operating systems (PC and Server), Microsoft Office, computer network technology, and well-developed troubleshooting skills
Excellent public relations, good telephone communication skills, and interpersonal skills are a must
The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information and maintain a professional demeanor
Customer-oriented and patient

Essential Functions
Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner
Provide a professional presence to end users when working to document and resolve issues
Provide first-level solutions to help desk calls and e-mails as skills and experience allow
Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
Work with IT leadership and help desk technician to develop processes and procedures to make the help desk an effective solution to resolve issues efficiently.
Other duties as assigned
