The Engagement Optimization Group (A3I) is a diverse group of talented software and systems engineers, systems analysts, mathematicians, and technical leaders. We apply innovative solutions to real-world defense system problems and analytical proficiencies to assess combat system performance, evaluate stressing combat system scenarios from hardware in the loop testing.

 

We are seeking a Tactical Systems Data Analyst to be part of a hardworking missile defense analytics team dedicated to ensuring warfighters have the capabilities needed to accomplish numerous missions that are essential to the defense of our nation. We are committed to becoming a widely recognized center of excellence for combat systems engineering.

 

 

As a Tactical Systems Data Analyst ...

 

  • Your primary responsibility will be to work within a team to provide innovative analysis for engagement control and interoperability requirements and objectives, define testable criteria, assist in the creation of analysis plans, and perform data analysis to characterize performance.
  • Build, maintain, and improve automated analytical software tools to enable rapid analysis of large data sets from complex operational systems to aid in the discovery and recognition of trends.
  • Support Sponsor meetings and on-site event execution at various government facilities.
  • Deliver formal presentations to Sponsors and the engineering community working groups effectively communicate proposed concepts, solutions, engineering results, and recommendations. Produce documentation to capture concept definitions, system requirements, technical recommendations, and analysis results.
  • Propose innovative new concepts for next-generation Command, Control and Communications Systems capabilities. Grow into a leadership role coordinating internal and external analysis activities.

 


Qualifications

 

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

 

  • Have earned a BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent and
  • Have 3 years of experience in data analysis and/or system design & assessment.
  • Possess strong MATLAB and/or Python scripting skills.
  • Exhibit Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Enjoy working successfully within a team environment.
  • Thrive in a team multi-discipline, multi-organization environment.
  • Are willing and able to travel.
  • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain Secret level clearance by your start date. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

 

You 'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

 

  • Have earned an M.S.in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Have experience in Aegis Weapon System design and assessment and/or Missile Defense Agency ground and flight test analysis.
  • Have experience with multiple DoD, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and PEO IWS Elements and contractor teams with an understanding of their system requirements and stressors.
  • Are skilled at building meaningful relationships across organizational boundaries.
  • Hold an active Top Secret security clearance.
