Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
Assist the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Football in preparing the student-athletes at the University of Maryland for the rigors and demands of intercollegiate competition through the utilization of the total athletic enhancement training. The primary function of this position will be to manage the total athletic performance preparation of student-athletes to include, but not limited to: development of training programs; application of appropriate motivational techniques; instruction of student-athletes in the proper execution of weight training exercises, plyometrics, agility drills, flexibility training, speed improvement technique, and conditioning modalities; and communicating with appropriate coaching personnel regarding the needs and demands of the student-athletes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of strength coaching.

- A minimum of two years of collegiate strength coaching experience.
- Ideal candidate will be experienced in program design and application for a broad range of training systems and sports applications.
Additional Certifications:
Required:
National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) certification required.
