SUNY Broome Community College has an immediate openings for full-time Custodial Workers (1st Shift) with working hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.   Custodial Worker is required to clean buildings, maintain grounds, perform custodial related tasks, and assist with occasional minor maintenance tasks on first shift.  Skill in the proper use of cleaning and maintenance of equipment, chemicals, disinfecting methods, waste handling, the use of grounds maintenance tools and equipment, and personal protective equipment required.

Requirements:

Position is physically demanding with tasks that include lifting heavy objects, bending, climbing, reaching, repetitive motion, and related duties as required.  Thoroughness, dependability, the ability to get along with others, and the ability to understand oral and written communication are essential.

Additional Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $16.17.

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
