SUNY Broome Community College has an immediate opening for a full-time, 12-month, tenure track position as Nursing Clinical and Simulation Coordinator.  This position reports to the Associate Dean of Nursing.  Generous benefits package includes, but is not limited to liberal vacation and sick leave, Medical, Dental, and optional Vision and Flexible Benefit Plan.

The Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and oversee the clinical and simulation programs; act as a liaison between the Nursing Program and the affiliating clinical agencies and institutions; and will work collaboratively with the Associate Dean for Nursing, the Nursing Program Chair, the Nursing faculty, and other Nursing staff to ensure attainment of student learning and program goals.

Requirements:

A Master's degree in Nursing is required.

A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is accepted, and the individual must be in progress towards a Master's degree in Nursing attained within four (4) years of hire.

Must be licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.

Must obtain Certified Health Simulation Education (CHSE) certification within two (2) years of hire.

Three (3) to four (4) years of nursing experience with two (2) years of hospital-based clinical nursing experience is required.

Medical, surgical, and simulation experience is preferred.  Teaching experience is desired.

One (1) year of appropriate leadership experience is desired.

This position requires travel to and from the college and affiliating clinical agencies/institutions.


Additional Information:

The annual salary for this position is $70,446.

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
