This Staff Psychologist 1 position is with the Child Behavioral Health Clinic or CBHC. The CBHC is an academic outpatient psychiatry clinic serving the greater Northern California region and a diverse patient population. Our clinical staff consists of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and trainees including medical students and clinical psychology interns/postdoctoral fellows. We take a team-based approach to mental health treatment and work closely with the rest of the health system including primary care physicians and medical specialists. Supervision for licensure in California will be provided. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has approximately 65 residents in six residency training programs and 90 faculty and staff psychiatrists and psychologists at the UC Davis Medical Center and the Northern California VA Health System. The Psychologist provides evidence-based individual and group therapies to child patients experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions and their families, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, parent management training, exposure and response prevention, habit reversal, etc. Such treatment may be brief intervention, short-term treatment, or longer-term therapy depending on the clinical presentation. Other aspects of the position include training others, program development, and documentation of patient care. ? Required Qualifications?
