Licensing Administrator

Summary of Position

This position provides diverse administrative and operational support for the
UNHInnovation (UNHI) technology transfer team. UNHI advocates for and manages the transfer of UNH-derived ideas to the public to maximize their social and economic impact. UNHI protects, promotes, and manages UNH’s innovations, supports start-up companies based on UNH’s intellectual property, and develops new opportunities for university and industry collaboration. Licensing Administrator responsibilities include database management, assistance with financial administration, and administrative coordination in support of those activities. Candidates should be highly detail-oriented and be able to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• High school degree and three years of related experience, or associate degree and
one year of related experience, or a combination of higher education and related experience equal to three years.
• Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness with adherence to deadlines.
• Competency in MS Office products, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision to ensure responsibilities are carried out in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Database management, accounting, and customer relationship management
experience, Salesforce experience preferred.
• Experience with software applications related to technology transfer and/or intellectual property management.
• Exposure to the management of patents, copyrights, and trademarks.
• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal training highly desired.
• Work experience in college/university environment or intellectual property law firm.

Sitting/Standing at a desk, typing, some light lifting for mail and event set up.
