JOB TITLE: ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST DEPARTMENT: ADMISSIONS

SALARY RANGE: $35,000 - $40,000 FLSA: NON-EXEMPT


 

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: College Director of Admissions

SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full-time/12-month position/PEERS


 

Position Summary

The Enrollment Specialist exemplifies the College in a positive, professional manner at all recruitment and marketing events, and provides timely support and feedback for the Admissions Office.. The essential functions of this position require a physical presence onsite.


 

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for recruitment for all OTC programs and locations, including: post-secondary enrollment, high school programs, and workforce development..
  • Attend college fairs and community events for student recruitment.
  • Produce presentations, videos, and workshops to help prospective students and parents receive information about the College.
  • Manage relationships with high school counselors in OTC’s service area to coordinate informational sessions, assistance with OTC applications, and FAFSA completion.
  • Assist the Communications and Marketing Department with special projects and event planning.
  • Respond to requests for information from prospective students.
  • Coordinate new and prospective student reports, analyze data, and report findings.
  • Prioritize workload in accordance with college registration cycles.
  • Make decisions independently and work with limited supervision.
  • Travel throughout Missouri for college recruitment.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with college policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending college functions, serving on committees and attending community events.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Exceptional organizational and relational skills.
  • Outgoing and engaging personality.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via email, phone, video chat, text messaging, or in a public speaking setting.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer operations, and the ability to learn and adapt to new software and tracking tools.
  • Valid Missouri driver’s license and willingness to travel with own transportation.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Graduate of Ozarks Technical Community College.
  • One year of sales or recruiting experience.
  • Experience with academic, financial aid, or career planning.
  • A demonstrated value of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Experience working within a collegiate setting.
  • Experience with TargetX.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: (The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.)

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting with frequent interruptions and distractions. Requires extended periods of time viewing computer monitor or standing; may require adjustment of schedule to include some evening and/or weekends; may encounter occasional exposure to inclement weather during travel.

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
