About SUNY Broome Community College:

SUNY Broome Community College is a comprehensive community college located in the scenic Southern Tier of New York.  The College has over 7,700 students annually, and services over 6,100 students per semester in Liberal Arts, Business & Professional Studies, Health Sciences, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs.  An additional 1,600 students are served through the College's workforce and non-credit programs.

 


Job Description:

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for part-time adjunct faculty teaching in the Psychology & Human Services department beginning in Fall 2023.

Successful candidates will have previous experience teaching undergraduate psychology and/or human services courses such as General Psychology, Human Development, Human Service Organizations, or Abnormal Psychology.  Comfort with technology and teaching in multiple modalities such as face-to-face, online, and Hyflex is also preferred. 

Primary responsibilities include developing and teaching one (1) to three (3) courses per semester at the introductory and/or advanced level.  Experience with learning or other assessment also preferred.

 


Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is required.  A Master's degree is preferred.

Teaching experience is required; preferably at the community college level.

Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
