Research Specialist II

Princeton University

Job Description

The Adamson lab in the Molecular Biology Department and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics seeks applicants for a Research Specialist I or II. The Adamson lab is principally a genomics lab focused on studying mechanisms of genome stability maintenance. For our work, we use and develop cutting-edge experimental technologies, including genome editing tools and approaches for performing genetic screens and single-cell RNA-sequencing. A major topic of interest in the lab is genome editing. We seek to understand how modern genome editing tools interact with ‘host’ cell mechanisms. Please visit our website to learn more about our research. Currently, we are seeking highly motivated applicants for two roles: the Research Specialist I/II (this position) and a Postdoctoral Research Associate . Successful candidates for both roles will have the opportunity to work on an exciting project focused on studying DNA mismatch repair in the context of recently developed genome editing tools. Although primarily focused on research, the Research Specialist I/II will also have some lab management responsibilities.

This will be a two-year full-time term position, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued funding availability and satisfactory job performance.
