The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Cook 2 within Corby Hall. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?
The Cook 2 is a skilled cook position responsible for producing recipes, following accepted culinary practices and reports to the Chef/Manager, supporting the mission and goals of a “Best in Class” dining program. As a culinary production member of a dynamic operation, the Cook 2 will support the daily operations. He/she will complete general assignments related to the assembly, pre-preparation and preparation or cooking of specific items through standards of service and hospitality, insuring the Notre Dame Community/CSC and guests with the very best in food and service. This culinary position is critical to insuring all diners experience excellent food production and service and being responsive to the changing needs and desires of customers. The Cook 2 produces food and is responsible for following recipes and accepted culinary practices; participates in general assignments, such as, preparation of food; supports special or catered events within the dining hall or elsewhere on campus; and is responsible for performing tasks related to the appearance, safety and sanitation of food production and service.

This position is with University Enterprises and Events at the University of Notre Dame and is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus (1/2 paid after 90 days and 180 days of continuous employment). Candidates are only eligible if they are a new employee to the University – current Notre Dame employees who transfer are not eligible. Other rules and conditions apply.
