Job Description

Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College is accepting applications for the following position:

Part time, HiSET Testing Administrator (Adult Education) Instructor

HiSET testing is dependent on the HiSET program being active at the College. Continued employment is based not only on employee performance, but also grant funding.

Duties/Responsibilities/Schedule:

The candidate chosen for the position will be responsible for HiSET testing at both the Minden and the Shreveport Campuses after going through a training program with the current HiSET Test Administrator. Testing takes place approximately 4-5 times per month.

Qualifications and Experience to apply:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
  • Teaching degree and teaching experience are preferred.
  • Previous experience in a technical or community college is preferred
  • Ability and eagerness to work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, and other staff members
  • Ability and eagerness to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Understand the mission of NLTCC
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills
  • Must possess excellent organizational decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheet, and database systems)
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

Additional Requirements:

A valid Louisiana Driver’s License Proof of motor vehicle insurance

In accordance with NLTCC Policy #6.003, a criminal history check will be conducted on all new hires. NLTCC participates in the federal E-Verify system for identification and employment eligibility purposes.
