DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
a. Establishes and maintains new business clients and builds current key client base for contract training and consulting.
b. Meets with business clients to assess business needs and identifies solutions to performance gaps in the form of contract training, coaching, consulting, or other services.
c. Recruits, interviews, recommends to hire, and evaluates appropriate subject-matter experts to serve as instructors/presenters; maintains an ongoing and continually developing instructor/presenter pool.
d. Coordinates with instructors/presenters to customize curriculum to meet specific client needs or to develop/purchase new curriculum materials; writes course descriptions and outlines.
e. Manages training programs/classes; coordinates facilities, equipment, materials, and instructor/presenter contracts.
f. Develops clear and profitable training proposals and contracts in compliance with departmental policies.
g. Participates in the statewide weTrain Illinois Community College Economic Development Association(ICCEDA) and represents BTC and the College in various community-related activities, meetings, and/or internally.
h. Maintains professional competence through participation in professional, educational, and leadership activities and/or organizations; keeps current with workforce trends and changes in business and industry training.
DESCRIPTION OF OTHER DUTIES:
a. Coordinates monthly sales reports and submits data for the state Economic Impact Report.
b. Assists with Completing and submits Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) forms for new courses as needed.
c. Coordinates with marketing department to produce and update Business Training Center marketing materials and updates the BTC website; develops on-going promotional activities to increase department visibility.
d. Assists the Director with budget preparation.
e. Assists with HCCTP as needed.
f. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

a. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, business, or other related areas required.
b. Minimum of three (3) years experience working with businesses desired.
c. Experience in coordination of educational programs in the private sector is a plus.
d. Must be willing to learn Microsoft Office Products.
